DRESS CODE

Pacific Northern Academy has a mandatory dress code for all elementary and middle school students. There are many positive reasons for a school dress code, including encouraging students to express their individuality through personality and academic achievements, and putting the focus on academics, not fashion. The responsibility for ensuring that students come to school in compliance with the Dress Code rests with parents.

PNA will contact parents when non-compliance occurs. Students are to look neat and clean. Piercing is limited to ears and no visible tattoos are allowed. Any student whose appearance becomes unusual in a manner which is not addressed by the Dress Code but which is objectionable and not consistent with the spirit and purposes of the Dress Code may be required to change that appearance. Such instances will be handled on a case-by-case basis, as not every circumstance can be foreseen.
