Science Explorers 

March 16, 23, 30, April 13, 20  (No class April 6)

 

Preschool/Kindergarten (Ages 4-6)

3:15-4:00 pm, Mondays

FEE: $112.50 (5 sessions)

 

Put on a lab coat and grab some goggles for each weekly experiment. Mix clever concoctions to create surprising results. Using the scientific method, discover the properties of matter by experimenting with solids, liquids and gases. Experiment with air pressure and learn about this invisible force. Try new activities this session!

 

Skill Level: Early Beginner- This class is designed for the abilities and attention span of pre and early readers.  Activities adapted to age level.

Minecraft Level Design & Engineering

March 17- April 23

​

Grades 3-5   4:15 to 5:15 pm; Tuesdays and Thursdays

Grades 6-8   3:15 to 4:15 pm; Tuesdays and Thursdays 

​FEE: $350 (6 weeks/12 sessions) +$40 licensing fee*

 

CodeREV's most popular class for this age group. Students learn the ins and outs of level design and game design while learning to engineer in Minecraft using Redstone. Students even learn basic code commands too! This class offers thrills AND education alike as students explore their inner Da Vinci in a STEM format perfect for Minecraft lovers! *An additional $40 licensing fee will provide you software access in class and at home for the 2019-2020 school year (Note: the fee does not apply if you attended the Minecraft Level Design class in the fall).

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate- activities adapted toward the skill level of the participant. Typing experience helpful.

 

 

3D Design and Printing

March 16, 23, 30, April 13, 20  (No class April 6)

 

Grades K-5

4:15-5:15 pm, Mondays 

FEE: $150 (5 sessions)

 

Design unique characters, mazes and more!  Using the engineering design process— design, create, test, and refine a variety of objects for you to take home. Develop spatial awareness and learn to draw objects using a 3D modeling software, created for students, then use a 3D printer to bring your ideas into reality.

Basketball 

March 16- April 22, 2020

 

Grades K-3     3:20-4:00 pm, Mondays and/or  Wednesdays

Grades 4-8     3:20-4:20 pm, Mondays and/or  Wednesdays

 

FEE: $180 Both Mondays AND Wednesdays (12 sessions)

$90 for Mondays (6 sessions)

$90 for Wednesdays (6 sessions)

Drop in Rate:  $25 per class

 

Learn about the strategy and sport of basketball while you develop your skills.  Practices will be a mix of technique and skills training, learning the rules, playing games and most importantly, FUN!  Everyone will practice foundational skills as a large group from 3:20-4:00 and from 4:00 to 4:20 the older students will focus on advanced skills.

 

Coach Elizabeth Ferry played collegiate basketball at the University of Maine Farmington for four years. An all-academic, all-conference player, she has made the transition from player to coach. She was selected to attend the Women's Basketball Coaches Association "future coaches" training at the Final Four in 2016. She has coached youth basketball for many years and last year was the assistant coach for a DIII program in Maine. 

 

PNA Running Club

April 25 through May 20

 

Grades 1-8    3:15-4:15 pm; Mondays and/or Wednesdays

FEE: $8/ day ($56 total)

 

All runners are welcome!  We will be running 1-3 mile runs.  Running shoes are a must! Parent volunteers are needed at each practice to make this a fun, affordable and safe program.  

Families may participate in the O'Malley Fun Run 2K or 5K on

May 16, 2020 at O'Malley Elementary.  Additional fees apply.
